On November 21, 2015, the pioneers of the ASF were interviewed and recruited at Awate Dzigba in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region, Ghana. For the start, three (3) senior high school (SHS) and ten (10) junior secondary school (JSS) students were selected from among about one hundred applicants. Constrained resources limited us to this small start-up number of students. We are therefore, appealing for donations from corporations, companies, government agencies, and the public at large to help this needy but brilliant student achieve their God-given potential. All three students, who want to become medical doctors, could not have gone beyond JSS if the Apana Scholarship Foundation did not come to their aid. There are many more of such kids across the country that we would like to help achieve their career dreams.
